Calendula officinalis is a plant native to Southwestern Asia, western Europe, Macronesia and the Mediterranean. (Sometimes confused with "marigolds," thanks to the fact that common names of plants are often very informal and sometimes attributed to more than one plant.) It's used widely in skin care products and teas.
