Community Herbal Medicine Making "Make and Take" Gathering Registration
Are you interested in:
-learning herbal traditions our ancestors lost
-relearning how to incorporate herbal medicines safely into your life along with Western medicine
-getting your hands into some plant work in a supportive environment so you don't have to struggle-bus your way through it alone
-leaving patriarchal religion at the door (our oldest ancestral land spirits are always part of this process)
-connecting with others who are interested in these same things
-embracing the diversity of our families and communities
Then come make herbal medicine as a group, here at The Swallow's Nest, February 20th, 3-8pm!
You do not have to attend the entire event, it's okay to show up after work, etc. Beginners are welcome.
SPECIAL GUEST: Jezmina von Thiele, Romano fortune teller and author, will be in the house, with tea leaf and other readings, and signing copies of their new book, Secrets of Romani Fortune Telling! More info to come!
Each participant will take home some of what is made (we will be making several seasonally relevant items for household use).
This event is not a replacement for routine medical or mental health care.
(The current venue is unfortunately not great for disability access, there are two steps up to the front door, and the door is a single door, not able to open as a double door. If you have any accessibility concerns, please feel free to contact us to ask, or ask to see the shop space, to plan. If we can get you in, we are happy to make accommodations during the activity, if needed!)
