The Thanksgiving holiday has passed, and we head a little deeper into the winter, a little deeper into the darkness. Here at the Swallow's Nest, we are busy stocking up on holiday gifts, and things to make the darkness a little brighter (a new candle order is on its way!) We're changing out the inhabitants of the flower boxes, out front, evergreens are replacing the summer flowers.
How do you bring light to the darkness in your own life? Who are the guardians who guide YOU through the darkness? We live in a world full of energy, and spirits. Which energies or spirits make their home with you?
Darkness is a natural part of our year, of our life cycles, of our world. It's simply a part of the whole. Without darkness, how would light exist? They interact and define one another, chasing one another's tails, an eternal spiral of transformation.
Winter asks us to find our way through the dark. To use our creativity, to stay warm, to find light when it's needed, to sit in the darkness with our own thoughts, when they need to be heard.
